ABOUT

Bluebird is a home decor and gift shop that was established in 2013 by owner Nicolle Broughton. The shop features a mixture of handmade, vintage, and new items. We pride ourselves on always growing and evolving. We whole heartedly believe in the power of creating beautiful, peaceful spaces, we pray you feel right at home here. At Bluebird we also believe it’s our duty to support other small business owners and entrepreneurs. We are proud to work with over 20 artists and businesses across the United States, as well as numerous fair trade companies, and as always we have a rotating selection of one-of-a-kind vintage pieces to add that bit of charm to your home. Stop in sometime and see what’s new! Not local? No problem, we also go on the road - check out of events page to see where else you can find us this year!

Shelly Broughton - Artist

Almost all of the artwork in Bluebird is done by Shelly Broughton. She is a self-taught artist living in upstate New York. Shelly's studio is nestled in a cozy shed at the end of her garden. She has worked in oils for many years and recently discovered the fabulous world of mixed media collage. Previous to working in the studio and selling her artwork, she painted murals and faux finishes in homes and restaurants throughout upstate New York. She has been painting for over 20 years.

Fun fact: Shelly has her black belt in both Seido and Zoku Shin styles of karate. Plus she raised twin girls.. she's basically a woman warrior!
